The Pirate Negotiator

Here's a new piece that just ran on the cover of the Washington Post's Style section. The article was about a Somali pirate negotiator who is currently on trial in Virginia. He claims he was working with an NGO to help facilitate the interaction between pirates and hostages, to minimize casualties. The hostages claim he was just one of the pirates, making their lives miserable during their months of captivity.
